Crashing Waves

There's just something about the beach that sets the mood for romance, relaxation and fun!

Last September one of our high school friends got married in Shangri-La Boracay. The venue was just perfect! We were so lucky that the rain stopped pouring that weekend because September is rainy season here in the Philippines. Honestly, that was probably my first beach wedding experience. Well, a friend of mine got married in a place by the sea but it wasn't really a beach plus it was 5 years ago so yeah, this was my first beach wedding. ;)

WHAT TO WEAR to a beach wedding: Usually the attire calls for semi-formal wear in light/pastel colors. I didn't own a single pastel colored dress in my closet. I also didn't own a single maxi dress in my closet. Girl problems. But if you have any of those in your closet then you are all set! Just accessorize with colorful and playful necklaces, bejeweled or statement sandals and an eye catching clutch with a plain outfit. If your dress is printed you can do away with the accessories and just wear some cute earrings.

As you can see, most of the guests wore maxi dresses or a 2 piece consisting of a maxi skirt and a spaghetti/flowy top.
